ZZ-2 ZWAGZ Light Flasher Installation in Phoenix, AZ

The ZZ-2 ZWAGZ (model ZW-GMLC-EV) is a plug-and-play light controller that lets newer Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac trucks and SUVs flash their own factory lights in seven patterns, including strobe modes. It connects at the factory light control module, and ZZ-2 says it needs no cutting, splicing or programming. Sound Image installs it in Phoenix and sets up the trigger you want: the high-beam lever, a push button, an upfitter wire or your factory key fob.

  • Seven flash patterns using your factory lights
  • Fits 2022–2026 Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade
  • Works on Silverado EV and Sierra EV
  • Plugs in at the factory light control module
  • Trigger by high-beam lever, button, upfitter wire or key fob

What the ZZ-2 ZWAGZ does

ZWAGZ is ZZ-2’s line of OEM light controllers. The ZW-GMLC-EV flashes the lights your truck already has, so there are no extra light bars to mount, in seven patterns that include two inverted sequences with strobe modes.

Because it works through the factory lights, the truck keeps its factory look. You choose how to trigger it: the factory high-beam lever, the included push button, an upfitter wire for a work-truck switch panel, or your OEM key fob.

Know Arizona’s flashing-light rules

Arizona is strict about flashing lights on public roads. A.R.S. 28-947 allows flashing lights only on authorized emergency vehicles, school buses and snow removal equipment, as warning lights on disabled or parked vehicles, and as turn signals.

Use the flash patterns only where they’re legal for your vehicle, and check with your agency or an attorney if you’re not sure how the rules apply. This is general information, not legal advice.

A clean plug-and-play install

ZZ-2 designed the module to connect at the factory light control module beside the body control module, with no cutting, splicing or programming. We mount it securely, route the push-button wiring cleanly if you want a dash button, and test every pattern and trigger with you before you leave.

We install other ZZ-2 products too, from ZZPLAY interfaces that add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to factory screens to camera interfaces and dash cams. Ask us what fits your vehicle.

FAQ

ZZ-2 Light Flasher Installation questions

What is the ZZ-2 ZWAGZ?

ZWAGZ is ZZ-2’s line of plug-and-play light controllers. The ZW-GMLC-EV model flashes your truck’s factory lights in seven patterns, including strobe modes, and can be triggered by the high-beam lever, a push button, an upfitter wire or the factory key fob.

Will the ZZ-2 light flasher fit my truck?

ZZ-2 lists 2022–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Silverado HD, Silverado EV, Tahoe, Suburban and Colorado; GMC Sierra 1500, Sierra HD, Sierra EV and Yukon; and Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV. 2022–2023 Silverado and Sierra trucks need a quick check for the 5-port light control module, which we can do before you book.

Do you have to cut factory wires?

No. ZZ-2 designed the module to plug in at the factory light control module, with no cutting, splicing or programming, which keeps the install clean.

Is it legal to use flashing headlights in Arizona?

On public roads, Arizona law (A.R.S. 28-947) limits flashing lights to authorized emergency vehicles, school buses and snow removal equipment, warning lights on disabled or parked vehicles, and turn signals. Make sure your use is allowed for your vehicle, and ask your agency or an attorney if you’re unsure.

How long does the installation take?

Because the module plugs in at the factory light control module, it’s usually a short appointment. Adding a dash push button or tying into an upfitter switch panel takes a little longer. We’ll give you a time estimate when you book.
